A Boise-based company recently purchased a longtime construction rental shop, McCall Rental and Sales. Tates Rents acquired the McCall shop, which is also its first store outside of the Treasure Valley.
In December 2020, Tates Rents transitioned to employee ownership. This Tates’ first acquisition since then.
“We look forward to sharing the benefits of employee ownership with the current team in McCall. Acquisition as an employee owned-company is a win-win.” Tates Rents CEO Haley Hennessey said. In a news release, Tates Rents said it wants to add to the success of McCall Rental and Sales and be a part of the community.

Tates Rents declined to tell BoiseDev the purchase price. Tates Rents first opened in Boise in 1946.
