After several weeks of being closed, the Recycled Bookstore in Cascade will reopen its doors today.
The bookstore shut down following the Watkins Pharmacy fire, which destroyed the entire drugstore and left the neighboring Cascade Public Library with “significant” smoke and water damage.

Friends of the Cascade Library, a nonprofit that supports the library, operates the Recycled Bookstore. Cascade Library posted on its website that the bookstore would reopen once debris from the fire had been removed. Now that it’s been cleaned up, the Recycled Bookstore will be open Friday and Saturdays in April from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In May, the bookstore will operate Thursdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The bookstore is located at 105 N. Front Street near the library.
