McCall’s Shore Lodge completes upgrades in time for summer season

Shore Lodge in McCall has been working throughout the off-season to complete a raft of small-scale upgrades. The lodge, which first opened in 1948, has continually changed and expanded over the decades.

Crews have updated carpets in common areas, replaced and brightened up lighting, revamped the bar area, and added new features to the downstairs game room.

“As Shore Lodge has evolved throughout the years, it felt like the right time to carefully steer new updates across the resort while maintaining its original splendor,” Shore Lodge General Manager Tom Garcia said.

During the off-season, the hotel shut down entire wings while teams completed work. The kitchen at the Cutwater restaurant also closed for a time while equipment was upgraded.

Guest rooms got a cosmetic makeover, with brighter paint colors, upgraded light fixtures, new nightstands, and larger televisions. Deep purples and greens have been replaced with lighter whites and cream colors.

They’ve also added new appliances, furniture and bedding. Guest room bathrooms have been retiled, and new sinks, shower doors, and fixtures installed.

“Our renovated spaces offer guests a warm welcome, and it’s been great to have their nod of approval,” Garcia said.
