Another McCall restaurant is listed for sale.
The owner of Cafe 6 Three 4 at 500 N 3rd St. took to social media to announce that they were putting the restaurant on the market.
“Yes, it’s true when one door closes, another opens,” the cafe’s post reads. “With a heavy heart, I have decided to pass on the baton. 634 has always been a labor of love, a supportive family’s journey, and the love from my community to succeed.”
The cafe first opened in McCall’s Roosevelt Arts area in 2018 prior to relocating in 2020.
The owner, Katie Welbron, writes that she and her family have been in the McCall community for many years.
“I’ve been in McCall for 28 years off and on. Our daughter was born here 26 years ago, all three of our children will have graduated from MDHS, with the last being next month,” the post said. “My husband has worked locally for Idaho Power for the past 16 years and has recently relocated for work.”
She said of trying to find a buyer that “it’s so important to find someone who loves (McCall) just as much as I do.”
Another listing
Cafe 6 Three Four is not the only restaurant listed for sale in McCall.
Another unnamed restaurant that opened in 1995 and is described as an “extremely popular local institution” is also on the market.
“Their food is widely acclaimed as the best of its cuisine in the area,” the listing said. “The business has consistently grown under the current owners since 2007. They have recently expanded the operation to include a rustic Lodge-style beer and wine café…The business comes complete with all equipment, website, brand, established customer base, and all startup expenses in place for the expansion.”
There isn’t a specific McCall address listed for this business. The listing notes that the owners are selling it to pursue other interests.
The building for the popular McCall eatery, The Pancake House was sold in late 2021. The business itself was first listed for sale in June 2018, and at the time, owner Bonnie Bertram told KTVB that the restaurant was struggling to find staff.
