Residents in McCall could soon get more rental options.
The McCall Planning and Zoning Commission will hear plans for a 46-unit townhome project during its May 7 meeting.
CCG McCall’s application shows a plan for housing on six acres at 500 1st St., situated near existing multi-use pathways and multifamily housing.
Project details
The Woodmoore Crest subdivision consists of 46 home lots. Ten would be attached townhomes (including two five-plexes), nine lots would be used for wider two-story dwellings, and 28 would be more narrow three-story buildings.
The site plan shows 25 long-term rentals, 16 short-term rentals, and 5 local housing buildings reserved for people who work and live in McCall for six months a year/ 30 hours a week.
“The purpose of this development is to provide single-family detached housing with a portion of designated local attached housing in the area,” the project narrative said. “This development will provide a “community” like environment where residents can raise their families and contribute to the neighborhood, boost local economy, and encourage patronage to local shops, stores, and restaurants.”
For amenities, there are plans for two pickleball courts and a gymnasium. Plus, the sidewalks within the development will connect to the multi-use pathways, there would be a bike repair station, and three benches.
There are plans for public and private snow storage.
The project would be completed in one phase.
The application had previously been continued by planning and zoning. If the commission makes a decision at next week’s meeting, it would still need approval from the McCall City Council before construction can start.
