Lakeside courtyard in McCall gets expanded bar & restaurant

There’s a new spot to check out near Payette Lake to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in McCall.

Salmon River Brewery has expanded to a new location on the lower level below its original pub.

SRB opened in 2008. It expanded to the former McCall Depot building on Railroad Ave.  and has continued to grow, including building its taphouse facility next door, which houses its brewing operation, as well as a taproom and rooftop deck.

Now, SRB is expanding again — dropping down into the courtyard the old depot shares with Hotel McCall.

“We are so excited to offer a new experience at Salmon River Brewery,” managers posted on Facebook. “In addition to our original pub and more recent taphouse (and) rooftop deck, you can now enjoy the courtyard for cocktails, wine, beer, light fare, bocce, corn hole and the ambiance that is unique to this magical little space in the center of downtown McCall.”

The limited menu features an Idaho-themed charcuterie board, flatbreads, brie with huckleberry pepper jelly, sandwiches and salads.

A new full-liquor bar has been built out inside the lower level of the building.  SRB said it plans to add live music and other events.

The SRB expansion takes over for Bistro 45, which moved a few blocks away to the Yacht Club building as BoiseDev reported. Chef Stephen Topple added a restaurant to Bistro 45’s offerings as part of the move.
