Chef Steven Topple will exit the McCall food scene after several years, closing his latest restaurant.
Topple, who once served as executive chef at Shore Lodge, before opening several restaurants across southern Idaho, will take his talents down the road.
“Although this is bittersweet, as I truly love the legacy of Bistro 45, hence the reason for purchasing it, I am excited to let you know that I have been offered a wonderful job opportunity as the new full-time executive chef at Tamarack Resort,” Topple wrote on Facebook.
Bistro 45 Wine Bar & Grill will close on September 15th, Topple said, but Ragazza di Bufalo and Casa Rossa Wine Bar in Donnelly will remain open.
Topple took on the restaurant space under the Yacht Club in McCall, opening Jasmine + Ginger in 2019, which later morphed into Ragazza Di Lago. Last year, Topple purchased Bistro 45, and moved it from its location under Salmon River Brewing on Railroad Ave. to the Yacht Club building, replacing Ragazza Di Lago. Bistro 45 had operated under different ownership for more than 20 years, as BoiseDev previously reported.
Bistro 45’s lakefront spot will remain open through September 15th, and Topple said gift cards purchased will be valid at that location only through the closing date.
Tamarack Resort has been expanding under new ownership in recent years, completing a long-stalled mountain village project, and adding a host of restaurant concepts, including The Reserve, Yardsale Pizza, El Pueblo Taqueria and others.
