A long-standing, well-known restaurant in McCall is for sale.
Lardo’s Grill & Saloon at 600 W. Lake St. near Warren Wagon Rd. is listed for sale by Casey Salas at Brundage Realty. Lite FM’s Michelle Heart first reported the news.
The Howard family of McCall launched the restaurant and bar in 1973. The restaurant is named for the one-time mining town of Lardo, which, as BoiseDev reported earlier this year, was named when a wagon load of flour and dough overturned to make a “lard dough.”
“This beloved restaurant is now ready for its next owner,” the sales flier notes. “It’s being sold as a turnkey restaurant on a 0.32-acre lot with a 4,811 square foot building.”
The listing, which is priced at $2.3 million, includes the current liquor license, which allows for sales of alcohol without a restaurant operation, as well as the property.
The flier pitches “various business venture” possibilities.
Lardos’ current menu features a mix of steaks, seafood, spaghetti and more.
The Lardo’s listing is one of a raft of changes to the McCall dining scene in recent years. Longstanding breakfast favorite The Pancake House closed in 2022, and the building was converted into a natural foods grocer. Bistro 45 will close this month after 20 years, just a year after moving to a new location along the lake last year.
