BoiseDev has hired Drew Dodson as editor & reporter for its new Valley County product.
Dodson, who lives in and will work in Valley County, is a seven-year veteran of the Star-News of McCall. He’s covered everything from housing affordability to infrastructure to McCall’s sewer system to a large-scale proposal to privatize land around McCall. He is a Boise State University graduate.
BoiseDev announced the forthcoming new product in October, funded in part by a grant from the Press Forward initiative. The new product will feature a stand-alone brand and set of digital offerings and is set to launch early in 2025.
“The hire of Drew Dodson is a key step in building a custom news product for people who live, work, and play in Idaho’s Heartland,” BoiseDev Co-founder and Managing Partner Kara Jackson said. “We’re already at work on crafting this new concept from the ground up to meet the needs of Valley County.”
