Work on five bridges along U.S. 95 in Adams County will begin as soon as tomorrow, according to the Idaho Transportation Department.
The work will cause temporary lane closures and reduced speed limits during the day as crews complete repairs to the bridges. Flaggers or temporary traffic signals will direct traffic.
Bridges slated for repairs are the Goose Creek West Bridge, Goose Creek East Bridge, Little Salmon River Bridge, Boulder Creek Bridge and Fall Creek Bridge—all of which are between New Meadows and Pinehurst.
The repairs include patching and sealing concrete, working on expansion joints, removing asphalt overlays, improving deck drains, improving bridge approaches, and painting steel structures.
Work on each bridge is expected to last about a week. Crews may work on more than one bridge at a time.
The work is part of a broader effort by ITD to complete repairs to bridges to extend their service life and reduce maintenance costs, the agency said in a news release.
